2021 Seeley Hills Classic

Saturday / January 30, 2021

The Seeley Hills Classic is the second-largest annual classic cross-country ski event on the Birkebeiner Trail. The 43K race is an American Birkebeiner qualifying race.

The race has served as a major fundraiser for the Seeley Ski Club, allowing it to promote skiing in a number of ways. The club was responsible for lighting the Birkie Trail at the Highway 00 area, and developed 15K Sawyer County Ski Trail in the Seeley area, which it maintains and grooms. Todays, with the help of the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation, the Seeley Hills Classic legacy will continue to keep skiing strong in the Seeley area.

Interested in going Birkie Green? Go cupless at the Seeley Hills Classic courtesy of Becker Law and Hydrapak. Pick up a HydraPak Speed Cup and a Becker Law retractable holder at bib pick-up to try a reusable cup during the race. Fewer paper cups on course means reduced waste and a cleaner environment. Clip the holder onto your jacket, ski suit, or belt and attach the cup. Use the cup for water or energy at aid stations and eliminate the need for a paper cup. Limited to the first 75 skiers that request going cupless at bib pick-up. Please let us know your experience after the race!

All races will start and finish at the American Birkebeiner Trailhead in Cable, WI (access via McNaught only).

Parking is available at the start- continue past the start line, follow the signs and parking volunteers for instructions. Water and energy drink will be found in the Great Hall. Please do not bring skis into the Great Hall for waxing. Participant food will be at the Sawmill directly following the races. Awards are at the Sawmill at 3 pm.
